Dhaka: Two people sustained burn injuries as a fire broke out in a plastic factory in Islambagh area of Old Dhaka on Friday afternoon.

The identities of the injured could not be known immediately.

Fire Service control room sources said, the fire broke out in the factory at about 1:10pm.

On information, five fire fighting units rushed to the spot and doused the flame after an hour of frantic efforts.

The injured were admitted to the burn unit of Dhaka Medical College Hospital, UNB reported.
