Sirajganj: Detectives in a drive arrested four suspected female members of banned militant organisation Jama’atul Mujahideen Bangladesh (JMB)’s reported suicide squad at Boroitola village in Kazipur upazila of Sirajganj early on Monday.

The arrestees are Fulera Khatun, wife of Abu Sayed, their two daughters Sakila Khatun, Salma Khatun, and Rajia, wife of Rafiqul Islam.

Sirajganj superintendent of Police Miraz Uddin said being tipped off about a clandestine meeting, a team of detective branch of police conducted the drive in the house of Faridul, a local JMB leader, at the village and arrested the four female activists.

They also seized huge propagandist booklets and computers from the house.

During primary interrogation, they confessed to their involvement in militant activities.
