Keraniganj: A businessman was found dead at Nurundi area under Keraniganj Model police station on Monday, five days after he went on missing.

The deceased is Mohammad Baser Rony, in his thirties, a resident of Jinjira Model Town area, also a garments trader and courier service provider.

Quoting family Members, Keraniganj Model Police Sub-inspector Aminul Islam said Rony had gone missing on Wednesday.

Local people spotted his body lying in the area in the afternoon and called police.

Police recovered the body and sent it to Sir Salimullah Medical College Hospital for an autopsy.

The body bore several injury marks.

Victim’s father filed a case accusing seven named and around three people with the Keraniganj model police.
