Faridpur: The slit-throat body of a housewife was found at a paddy field near her house at Kanair village in Saltha upazila on Tuesday, reports UNB.
Informed by family members and locals, police recovered the body of the woman, identified as Reshma Begum, 22, wife of Jamal Sheikh of the village, from the field at about 11:00am, said Saltha police officer-in charge Belayet Hossain.
Some miscreants slaughtered Reshma and later cut the tendons of both her legs and hands, he said.
Meanwhile, police arrested a man, Sabbir, son of brother-in-law (husband’s brother) of the victim, from the house for interrogation, the OC added.
