Comilla: Three police members were injured when a covered van hit their pickup van at Chandina in Comilla in the early hours of Sunday.

The injured police constables are Mohammad Shahdat, Mohammad Shahjahan, and Mohammad Manik.

The injured received primary treatment from Upazila Health Complex.

One of the injured, Mohammad Shahjahan said a covered van hit the pickup van carrying them while they were patrolling on Dhaka-Chittagong Highway at Khadghar area at about 2:00am.

The driver of the covered van and his assistant left the place immediately after the accident. Later, police seized the covered van from the spot.
