Pabna: Shariful Islam, a former union council member of Bharara union, was hacked and shot to death by some miscreants at Sadar upazila Pabna on Sunday night.
Bharara union council chairman said a group of miscreants in masks attacked and stabbed Shariful while he was watching a match in Char Balrampur school playground at about 9:30pm.

Later, the miscreants shot him and left the spot.

The chairman also said Shariful Islam was an amir of Dogacha union Jamaat.

The Pabna Sadar police said they recovered the body immediately after the incident and sent the body to Pabna General Hospital morgue on Monday morning,
