A young man, who went missing while taking bath in a canal in Mallikbari Bus Stand area of Pirojpur Sadar upazila on Wednesday, was found dead on Thursday.

Locals said Raju Khan, son of Jahangir Khan of Khamkata area in Pirojpur municipality area, along with his cousin went to the Parerhat cannel for taking bath on Wednesday afternoon, reports UNB.

Later Raju went missing after he dipped into the cannel.

On information, divers from the local fire service men came in and conducted a rescue operation.

Later on Thursday morning, locals recovered floating body of Raju at about 11:00am.
