Mymensingh: Two persons were killed and another was injured in a road crash at Meherabari area on the Dhaka-Mymensingh Highway in Bhaluka upazila in Mymensingh on Thursday morning.

The victims were identified as Mohammad Ali, 38, and Polash, 30, hailing from Lalbagh area in Dhaka city.

Police said the accident occurred when a private car hit a roadside tree in the area at about 11 30 am as its driver lost control over the steering, leaving car passenger Ali dead on the spot and two others injured.

Polash succumbed to his injuries at Bhaluka Upazila Health Complex.

Injured Raju, 35, was admitted to Mymensingh Medical College Hospital.
