Barisal trawler capsize: Bodies of 2 siblings recovered

Barisal: The bodies of two siblings, who went missing following a trawler capsize in the Meghna River at Moulvir Hat in Hizla upazila on Thursday night, were recovered on Friday morning, reports UNB.
The deceased are Sumaiya, 12, and Rajin, 13, children of Liton Sarder, a resident of Khagerchar area of the upazila.
Locals said the trawler carrying nine members of a family capsized in the river after being hit by another trawler at about 9:00pm on Thursday night.
All but the two siblings managed to swim ashore.
After a frantic search, police recovered the body of Sumaiya at about 11:15am from near the accident spot. Later, the body of Rajin was retrieved at about 12:00pm, said Masuduzzaman, officer-in-charge of Hijla Police Station.
