Case filed over Juba League activist murder in Dhaka
Dhaka: A case was filed with Motijheel Police station in connection with Juba League activist Rijvi Hasan Babu killing.
Abul Kalam, father of the victim, filed the case on Saturday night mentioning names of some local Juba League leaders, said Motijheel police officer-in-charge Omar Faruque.
He, however, declined to disclose the names of the accused saying that police have been carrying out drives to arrest the killers.
Juba League activist Rijvi Hasan Babu and his friend Ahsanul Hoque Imon, 32, sustained bullet injuries when their rivals sprayed bullets indiscriminately on them at a Juba League office in front of building no-17/B at AGB colony at about 11:00pm on Friday.
They were rushed to Dhaka Medical College Hospital from where Babu was shifted to a private hospital where he succumbed to his injures on early Saturday.
