Cox’s Bazar: A 13-year-old boy went missing as a trawler capsized in Kutubdia channel at Akbarbali Noughat in Kutubdia upazila on Tuesday morning.

Locals said the trawler carrying 80 passengers and goods sank in the area while it was going to Kutubdia from Firingibazar in Chittagong city at about 10:30am.

Most of them were rescued by other trawlers while a 13-year-old-boy remained missing.

Tanvir Salehin Gazi, UNO of Kutubdia upazila, confirmed the incident.
