Savar: Police on Wednesday morning filed a case against 12 people in connection with the robbery attempt that left eight people killed in a branch of Bangladesh Commerce Bank Ltd at Kathgora in Ashulia on the outskirts of the capital on Tuesday.

The Ashulia police said the accused in the case include Saiful Islam, who was arrested over the incident.

Earlier on Tuesday, at least eight people, including the bank manager and a robber, were killed and 23 others injured during an attempt of robbery in the branch of Bangladesh Commerce Bank Ltd at Kathgora in Ashulia.

Police arrested two people from different places for their alleged involvement in the incident of bank robbery.
