Members of Bangladesh Navy seized 15 lakh pieces of Yaba tablet worth Tk82.50 crore from a boat in the outer anchorage of the Chittagong Port on early Thursday.

Bangladesh Navy commander Atiqur Rahman said sensing the presence of the patrol team, a gang of smugglers fled the area leaving their boat at about 2:30am. 

Later, the team recovered the Yaba tablets from the abandoned boat.

However, none was arrested in this connection.
