‘No Rana Plaza fund at PMO’

Dhaka: Prime Minister’s Office (PMO) director general (administration) Kabir Bin Anwar said that there is no such fund titled ‘Rana Plaza’ under the office.
Kabir Bin Anwar in a press conference on Thursday morning said there are only two funds at PMO, one is prime minister’s relief and welfare fund and the other is PM’s minister’s personal fund.
The director general said prime minister lends humanitarian aids in disasters and others from the relief and welfare fund where several persons and organisations donate money.
He said prime minister distributed a total of Tk22,93,58,720 among the Rana Plaza victims from this fund. There is no scope for delusions about the fund, said Kabir Bin Anwar.
The general director, mentioning the report of Transparency International Bangladesh (TIB) on Rana Plaza fund, also made a call to communicate with the persons concerned if anyone is interested to know about the aid fund for Rana Plaza victims.
Commerce secretary, Labour and employment secretary and BGMEA president were also present during the press conference.
