Mosaddak Ali’s HC bail upheld

The Appellate Division has upheld the High Court’s bail order for NTV chairman and managing director Mosaddak Ali.
A four-member Appellate Division bench, headed by Chief Justice Surendra Kumar Sinha, on Thursday upheld bail order.
Nazmun Ara Sultana, Syed Mahmud Hossain, and Hasan Fayez Siddiqi were the other three judges of the bench.
During the hearing before the bench, Attorney General Mahbubey Alam was the public prosecutor, while lawyer Khandakar Mahbub Hossain argued on Mosaddak Ali’s behalf.
Earlier on 12 April a High Court bench remanded Mosaddak Ali on bail in a vandalism case filed with Mirpur police.
Mosaddak Ali, who is also the president of ATCO, an organisation of the private television channel owners, was held on 1 February for his involvement in three different cases.
