War crimes accused dies at DMCH

Dhaka: War crimes suspect Ramzan Ali of Netrakona died at Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH) in the Dhaka on Friday afternoon under police custody. He was 75.
DMCH sources said Ramzan who had been suffering from old-age complications breathed his last at about 5:30pm. He had been undergoing treatment at ward-601 of the hospital, reports UNB.
Ramzan Ali was arrested from Narsingdi district on 12 April last for his alleged involvement in committing crimes against humanity during the country’s Liberation War in 1971 after the International Crimes Tribunal issued a warrant for his arrest.
