Dhaka: A man was killed in a gas cylinder explosion in Banani area of Dhaka city on Saturday afternoon, reports UNB.

The victim is Lal Miah, 45.

UNB’s correspondent at Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH) said the gas cylinder went off with a big bang at about 3:00pm while Lal Miah was blowing up balloons using the cylinder in a house No-6/8 at Block-A, Road-25 in the area, leaving himself critically injured.

He was taken to the DMCH where doctors declared him dead at about 4:15pm.
