Five people were killed and twenty others injured as a bus collided head-on with a pick-up van at the Faltita Bazar of Fakirhat upazila in Bagerhat on Friday.

The deceased are Moloy, Kalu Das, Nil Komol, Bolram and Goshai Das, hailed from Fakirhat upazila of the district. The injured people have been taken to Fakhirhat and Mollahat health complex.

Police said, the accident took place when a Tungipara Express bus collided head-on with a pick-up van. Among the injured, three are in critical condition.

On information, police rushed to the spot and recovered the bodies.
