Dhaka: Local Government, Rural Development and Cooperatives Minister Khandker Mosharraf Hossain on Monday said there is no shortfall of water supply in two cities of Dhaka.

He was replying to a written question from treasury bench member Begum Sanjida Khanam in parliament.

The minister said the supply of water in Dhaka is 245 crore litres per day against a demand ranging from 214 to 230 crore litres.

Two mega projects are running in a full swing to change the old pipelines with modern DMA (district mitered area) method for a smoother water supply in the capital.
