Dhaka: A young man was stabbed to death on a foot-bridge near Bangabandhu Shaikh Mujib Medical Hospital at Shahbagh in Dhaka in the early hours of Wednesday.

The deceased is Habib, in his thirties. Details identity of the victim could not be known immediately.

The Shahbagh police said two drug addicts involved in a clash over the bridge and at a stage one left the spot after stabbing the other to death at about 3:30am.

The Shahbagh police duty officer Sub-inspector (SI) Kausar Ali said the body was taken to Dhaka Medical College morgue.
