64.29 pc Cabinet decisions implemented in current fiscal
Dhaka: Some 64.29 per cent decisions of the Cabinet, taken in the first quarter of the current fiscal year, has been implemented, which is 6.20 per cent higher than that of the same period of the last fiscal.
This was revealed at the regular Cabinet meeting held at the Cabinet Division with Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina in the chair on Monday.
Cabinet secretary Mohammad Shafiul Alam briefed reporters after the meeting.
He said that 56 decisions have been taken in eight cabinet meetings from July to September of the current year.
‘Of the total number, 36 decisions have been implemented while 20 decisions (35.71 pc) are in the process to be implemented,’ he said.
He also mentioned four treaties or memoranda of understanding were ratified during the period. Ten laws were also passed by Parliament at that time, the cabinet secretary added.
During the corresponding period of the previous year, 11 cabinet meetings were held and the cabinet took 78 decisions. Forty-five decisions (57.69 pc) were implemented while 33 decisions (42.31 pc) were in the process.
Three policies or work plans were approved while four treaties or memoranda of understanding ratified and eight laws passed by Parliament.
