Benapole: Members of Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) arrested three alleged arms traders along with two foreign pistols and two bullets from Rajganj village in Putkhali border area of Benapole on Monday night.

The arrestees are Abdullah, Zakir Hossain, and Zahid Hasan.

Lieutenant Colonel Arifur Rahman, commanding officer of BGB-21, said tipped off, a team of the border force conducted a drive in the area and arrested the trio while they were trying to sell arms at about 11:30pm.

BGB members also recovered two foreign pistols and two bullets from their possession.

A case was filed in this connection.
