Two people were killed and at least five others injured as an ambulance knocked them down in front of Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH) in the city on Saturday morning.

The victims could not be identified.

DMCH police camp in-charge Sub-inspector Bachchu Miah said the ambulance hit seven people at the entrance of the hospital at about 9:00am, leaving the a child and another man, aged at least 60, dead on the spot and five others injured, reports UNB.

The injured people were admitted to the hospital.
