Four found dead in Savar
Savar: Four bodies were recovered from separate places in Savar at the outskirts of Dhaka in the early hours of Sunday.
The Savar model police recovered the bodies in between at about 6:00am to 9:00am.
Two of the deceased are Helal Uddin, in his sixteen, a resident of village of Telkanda under Narsingdi’s Monohardi police station, and Mosammat Shirina, around 18 years old. However, identities of two other bodies could not be known immediately.
The bodies were sent to Dhaka Medical College Hospital for autopsies.
Local people and police said miscreants electrocuted Helal Uddin to death in the early hours of Sunday. Helal Uddin was the security guard of a rickshaw garage of Monsur Ali and Rabiul Alam, residents of Joynabaria area of Hemayetpur in Savar.
The miscreants also stole an easy bike from the garage. Later, police went to the spot and recovered the body at about 7:00am.
Earlier, police recovered body of a 50-year-old man from Upazila Health Complex adjacent to Savar Police station at about 6:00am.
Upazila Health Complex Resident Medical Officer (RMO) Amzadul Haque said some young men brought critically injured man to the hospital by a CNG-run auto-rickshaw in the early hours of Sunday. The man died after half an hour.
The RMO said the man was beaten and poisoned to death.
In another incident, police recovered a hanging body of Shirina from a house in the village of Birulia at about 8:00am.
The Savar Model Police also found a slit-throat body of a young man, in his twenties, in Shyamlashi area of Bhakurta at about 9:00am.
However, the Savar Model Police Senior Assistant Superintendent of police Mahbubur Rahman said police is investigating the four killings, and will file separate cases in this connection.
