Modi tweets applauding Sheikh Hasina’s role

Earlier, A VVIP flight of Bangladesh Biman carrying the Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina and her entourage landed at Goa Naval Base Airport at about 10:15am (Local time).
The two-day summit kicked off in the Indian southwest state, Goa, on Saturday with the theme ‘BRICS-BIMSTEC: A Partnership in Opportunities’. It is being organised on the sidelines of BRICS Summit that began on Saturday.
The prime minister will attend BIMSTEC Leaders’ Retreat and BRICS-BIMSTEC Leaders’ Outreach Summit this afternoon at the invitation of her Indian counterpart Narendra Modi.
The Prime Minister along with her entourage left for India by the Biman VVIP flight at about 8:00am from Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport.
Ministers and high civil and military officials saw the Prime Minister off at the Airport.
Heads of state and government of other BIMSTEC member states will also attend the Outreach Summit.
During the visit, the Prime Minister will have a bilateral meeting with Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Before the talks, she will attend dinner to be hosted for BIMSTEC leaders.
The bilateral meeting is likely to last for 30 minutes from Indian time at about 9:00pm to 9:30pm that will cover the whole range of bilateral issues, an official said quoting the programme schedule.
Meanwhile, the Bangladesh Prime Minister will attend lunch to be hosted by Goa Chief Minister Lakshmikant Parsekar at Jamawar Terrace.
She will also attend retreat meeting of the BIMSTEC leaders which will be held at about 3:45pm to 4:30pm.
The Prime Minister will return home on Monday morning.
