Dhaka: Detectives arrested a man for his alleged involvement in the killing of Gonojagoron Moncho organiser Nazimuddin Samad in the Dhaka’s Sayedabad area on Sunday night.

The arrestee is Rashidun Nabi.

Deputy Commissioner (media) of Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) Masudur Rahman said tipped off, a team of Detective Branch (DB) conducted a drive in the area and arrested Nabi at night.

Details of the drive will be disclosed at a press briefing later, the DC added.

Earlier on 6 April 2016, Samad, in his late twenties, an organiser of the Gonojagoron Moncho and a post-graduate student of Jagannath University, was killed in Dhaka.
