Savar: Police recovered the body of a worker from a banana orchard at Kalampur village in Dhamrai upazila on Wednesday morning.

The deceased is Yunus, in his forty, a resident of village of Kamolapur in Kushtia, also a worker of Kalampur Buildtrade factory. He used to live in a rented house at Kalampur village.

The Dhamrai Police Station Rizaul Hoque said miscreants beaten and stabbed Yunus to death in the early hours of Wednesday and left his body at a banana orchard over previous enmity. Later, his relatives found the body and called Dhamrai police.

The body was sent to Dhaka Medical College Hospital for autopsy.
