Dhaka: Detectives in separate drives arrested 17 members of a suspected dope gang, who rob people after making them unconscious using sedatives, in different parts of Dhaka on Wednesday night.

Tipped off, a team of the Detective Branch (DB) of police conducted separate drives in the capital and arrested them, said Deputy Commissioner (Media) of Dhaka Metropolitan Police Masudur Rahman.

The identities of the arrestees could not be known yet.

Details of the drives will be revealed at a press briefing later.
