Dhaka: A one and a half years old baby died after she along with her mother and sister were rescued unconscious at their residence in Badda area of Dhaka early on Sunday.

The deceased is Aria, daughter of Amjad Hossain, a resident of Uttar Badda area of Dhaka.

Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH) authorities said Amjad Hossain returned home at about 2:00am and did not get any response from inside when he knocked the door.

Later, Amjad along with his neighbours entered the house breaking open the door to see his wife Shahana Begum and his two daughters—Angomani, around 4 years old, and toddler Ariya—lying unconscious on their bed.

They took the trio to Badda General Hospital and later shifted to DMCH where doctors declared Ariya dead, said DMCH police camp in-charge sub-inspector Bacchu Miah.
