Savar: A former union council chairman was killed as a bus hit his motorcycle on Nabinagar-Chandra highway in Kabirpur area here on Sunday morning, reports UNB.

The deceased is Abdul Kader, 55, former chairman of Baishkanda union of the upazila.

Family sources said the speeding bus hit Kader’s motorcycle while he was returning to Dhamrai, leaving him critically injured.

He was rushed to Enam Medical College Hospital where doctors declared him dead.

Later, the body was sent to Dhaka Medical College Hospital morgue for autopsy.
