Barisal: Two people were killed and six others were injured as a truck hit a utility vehicle on the Dhaka-Barisal Highway in Gouronadi upazila of Barisal on Tuesday morning.

The deceased could not be identified immediately.

The Gouronadi upazila health complex authorities said the accident took place on the highway at about 10:30am as the truck hit the human hauler, leaving tow of its passenger dead on the spot and six others injured.

The injured were admitted at the health complex.
