Dhaka: The Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) on Wednesday arrested a retired inspector of the Department of Inspection for Factories and Establishments in a corruption case.

An ACC team arrested Md Abul Hasim Bhuiyan from Segunbagicha area in Dhaka at about 11:30am, ACC public relations officer Pranab Kumar Bhattacharya told UNB.

On Tuesday, ACC deputy director Rahela Khatun filed a case against him with Ramna Police Station for allegedly acquiring illegal wealth.

According to the case statement, the ACC found that Abul Hasim Bhuiyan accumulated wealth illegally and concealed the information in his wealth statement he earlier submitted to the Commission.
