Dhaka: A case has been filed against Customs officer Sushanta Paul on charge of posting disparaging remarks about Dhaka University on the social media.

DU student Motakabbir Khan filed the case with Shahbagh Police Station on Thursday under section 57 of the Information and Communication Technology Act.

Customs officer (30th BCS batch) Sushanta Paul posted derogatory comments about Dhaka University on his Facebook timeline which created commotion among the university students.

Amid the growing resentment among the students, Sushanta deleted his post and offered apology.
