Khaleda Zia graft case hearing postponed till 6 May

Hearing in the two graft cases against BNP chairperson Khaleda Zia has been postponed until 6 May.
A High Court bench of Judge Moinul Islam Chowdhury and Judge JBM Hasan passed the order on Thursday, the fourth day of hearing in Gatco and Niko corruption cases filed against the BNP chairperson by Anti-Corruption Commission in 2007.
The hearing continued for one and half hours after starting from 2:30pm and was attended by Khaleda Zia’s lawyers Ragib Rouf Chowdhury, Ehsanur Rahman, and Zakir Hossian; and ACC lawyer Khurshid Alam Khan.
Khaleda Zia’s lawyers claimed that wrong information was provided by ACC in the charge sheet submitted for the case.
‘These cases have been filed with a deliberate intention to harass (Khaleda Zia) politically, said Ragib Rouf Chowdhury adding that the court fixed 6 May for next hearing after they produced the wrong information before it.
