4 ‘Huji men’ held with bombs in Gazipur

Gazipur: Detectives in a drive arrested four suspected members of Harkat-ul-Jihad Bangladesh (Huji) carrying 14 fire bombs and four crude bombs from Nandoain area in Gazipur on Friday.
The arrestees are Khairul Islam of Joydebvpur, Golam Kibria of Mymensingh, Aminul Haq and Shahidullah of Tangail.
Tipped off, a team of DB police conducted a drive in an abandoned building in the area and arrested the four along with 14 petrol bombs, four crude bombs, some sharp weapons and jihadi books, said Harunur Rashid, superintendent of Gazipur Police at a press briefing in the afternoon.
Of the arrestees, two were engineers while the two others were former students of International University of Technology, he said.
They gathered in the abandoned building in an attempt to carry out sabotage in Gazipur, said the Police Super.
