Bandarban: Two suspected abductors were beaten to death by local people at Fashiakhali union of Lama in Bandarban in the early hours of Wednesday.

Identity of the deceased could not be known immediately.

Police said armed miscreants kidnapped four workers from a construction site in Hargacha area of Fashiakhali union at about 9:00pm on Tuesday. Being informed about the abduction, villagers rescued the workers at about 11:45pm.

The rescued workers are Monwar Alam, Kalabhutu, Jakir Alam, and Jaber Ahmed. The local people also detained two suspected abductors in the area.

Later, they beat the abductors to death at about 12:30am.

The Fashiakhali union council Chairman Jakir Hossain said the villagers chased the abductors and rescued the workers.
