Dhaka: Customs officials recovered 18 gold bars and some ornaments weighing 14 kilogram from a cartoon box at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport in Dhaka on Tuesday night.

Assistant commissioner HM Ahsanul Kabir of Dhaka Customs House said tipped off, a team of customs officials conducted a search in a passenger flight at about 11:30pm.

The team recovered 18 gold bars and 600 gram ornaments weighing 14kg from a cartoon in an abandoned condition.
