Dhaka: A woman, who suffered burn injuries in a gas line explosion in Dhaka’s Jurain area on 22 October, died at Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH) early on Thursday.

The deceased is Jesmin Begum, in his forties.

Jesmin, who was undergoing treatment with 45 per cent burn injures, succumbed to her injuries at the burn unit of DMCH in the dead of night, sources at the hospital said.

Earlier on 28 October, Rony, around 13 years old, son of Jesmin and another victim of the gas line explosion, died at the hospital.

Four members of a family: Abul Kalam Azad, his wife Jesmin Begum, their son Mohammad Rony, , and nephew Sharmin Akhter, in her twenties, suffered burn injuries in an explosion caused by gas leak at their residence in Jurain area of Dhaka on 22 October.
