Dhaka: An official attached to the Law & Justice Division has been dismissed on charges of misconduct, corruption and inefficiency.

The Ministry of Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs issued a gazette notification on Thursday confirming S M Aminul Islam, also former district and session judge of the Women and Children Repression Prevention Tribunal of Comilla, has been sacked. 

The gazette also noted the decision was taken following the counsel of the Supreme Court, as the allegations brought against him were found to be well-founded.
