Dhaka: Terming the recent attacks on Hindus, their houses and worship places in Nasirnagar of Brahmanbaria unfortunate, Health Minister Mohammad Nasim on Sunday said there is a deep conspiracy behind the incidents.

‘We believe international forces who are trying to destroy the country’s communal harmony are involved in the incidents,’ he claimed.

Mohammad Nasim, also a member of Awami League presidium, said this while addressing a press briefing after a meeting of the Awami League-led 14-party alliance held at AL president Dhanmondi political office in Dhaka, reports UNB.

Nasim, also the spokesperson of the 14-party, urged the local administration to take necessary steps to ensure security of the minority community people.

The meeting decided to send a delegation of the alliance to visit Nasirnagar on Monday.

Meanwhile, party publicity and publication secretary Hasan Mahmud at a press conference at its president’s Dhanmondi political office said Awami League does not fear BNP rather it is people who fear BNP as the party killed people through petrol bombs in the name of a movement.

About BNP’s demand for forming the new Election Commission with opinions from all parties, the AL leader said the President constitutes the Election Commission as per the constitution.
