Barguna: A man was stabbed to death by miscreants at Urbunia village in Sadar upazila in Barguna on Sunday.

The deceased is Idris Ali, in his forties, a resident of the village.  Sadar Police Officer-in-charge Riaz Hossain said miscreants stabbed him indiscriminately at the village at about 6:00pm, leaving him dead on the spot.

Later, police recovered the body and sent it to Barguna Sadar Hospital for autopsy.

Family members of the victim alleged that Idris might have been killed by rivals in the locality over a land related dispute.
