Case filed over knife attack at Dhaka airport
Dhaka: A case was filed on Monday in connection with the knife attack at Shahjalal International Airport that left an Ansar member dead and four people injured on Sunday.
Noor-e-Azam, officer-in-charge of Airport Police Station, said Platoon Commander of Khilkhet Ansar camp Ashraful Alam filed the case with Airport Police Station.
Besides, a three-member committee was formed to probe the incident.
The probe committee, headed by Additional DIG of Armed Police Battalion Hasif Aziz, has been asked to submit the report within 48 hours, said Rashedul Islam Khan, commanding officer of Airport Armed Police (AAP).
Earlier, on Sunday, Shohagh Ali, 30, an Ansar member was killed and four people, including two members of AAP and two of Ansar, were injured as a cleaner of a private firm stabbed them at the airport.
