Dhaka: BNP chairperson Khaleda Zia will appears before court on Thursday in Zia Charitable Trust case.
BNP chairperson’s press wing official Shamsuddin Didar confirmed this to NTV Online on Wednesday night.
Khaleda will appear before the court of Judge Abu Ahmed Jamadar of Dhaka’s Special Judge’s Court-3, set up at the playground of Govt Alia Madrasah in the capital’s Bakshibazar.
On 8 August 2011, the ACC filed the Zia Charitable Trust graft case with Tejgaon Police Station accusing four people, including Khaleda Zia, for abusing power in raising funds for the trust from unknown sources.
On 16 January 2012, Harun-or-Rashid, investigation officer of the case, submitted chargesheet putting the names of four people in the case.
