Bogra: A ‘drug addict’ man stabbed his elder brother to death at Hajorki-Begunipara village in Nandigram upazila of Bogra on early Saturday, reports UNB.

The deceased is Mofazzel Hossain, son of Abdul Jabbar of the village.

Nandigram police station officer-in-charge Abdur Razzak said Abdul Hakim used to lock into altercation with his elder bother Mofazzel as he had asked Hakim to stop drug abuse.

In the early hours on Saturday Hakim called Mofazzel out of the house and chopped him with a knife indiscriminately, leaving him dead on the spot.

On information, police recovered the body and sent it to the hospital morgue for autopsy.

Meanwhile, police also arrested Hakim from nearby Deolia village in the morning.
