Lakshmipur: Police recovered the hanging body of truck driver in Kanchani Bazar area of Sadar upazila on Monday morning.

The deceased is Raju, son of Nurul Alam of Charruhita village in the upazila.

Locals spotted his body hanging from a mango tree in the area and informed police, said Abu Taher, sub-inspector of Sadar Police Station.

Police recovered the body and sent it to Sadar Hospital Morgue for autopsy.

Goltaz Begum, the victim’s mother, said that Raju went out of the house on Sunday evening and did not return.
