Dhaka: A young woman who sustained burn injuries in a gas explosion at an apartment in Gulshan area of Dhaka on Monday morning, died at Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH) on Wednesday morning.

The deceased is Bedena, in her twenties.

Bedena, who received 90 per cent burn injuries, died at the burn unit of DMCH at about 6:00am, said sub-inspector Bacchu Miah, in-charge of DMCH police camp.

Earlier, Sharifa, around 18 years, who received 100 per cent burn injuries in the incident succumbed to her injures on Monday night at the hospital.

On 16 November, three female domestic helps including Bedena and Sharifa sustained burn injuries in a gas explosion at an apartment in Gulshan area.
