Dhaka: Robbers looted 696 grams gold jewelleries from a jewellery shop in Dhamrai municipality on Wednesday night.

Witnesses said a group of miscreants swooped on a jewellery shop, named ‘Rajmoni’, in the municipality area at night and kept the people hostages at gun point inside the shop.

The robbers blasted around 20 crude bombs during the incident, creating panic among the local people.

Later, the robbers looted 696 grams gold jewelleries from the shop and left the place with the loot.

The Dhamrai Police Officer-in-charge Mohammad Riazul Haq said police have already arrested three suspects in this connection.
