Keraniganj: A man died after he was hit by his younger brother with a stick over family feud at Tashullya village in Nawabganj upazila of Keraniganj on the outskirts of Dhaka on Wednesday.

Police said an altercation took place between Falan Biswas, and Pabitra Biswas, residents of Hiralal Biswash of the village, over the ownership of a piece of land in the morning.

At one stage, Pabitra hit Falan with a bamboo stick, leaving him unconscious, said Shafiqul Islam, second officer of Nawabganj Police Station.

Later, Falan was taken to Dhaka Medical College Hospital where doctors declared him dead.

Police could not arrest Pabitra Biswas as he went into hiding after the incident.
