5 ‘Neo-JMB’ men held in Dhaka
Dhaka: Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) detained five suspected members of Neo-JMB — the newly formed Jama’atul Mujahideen Bangladesh — in Uttara and Adabar areas of Dhaka.
RAB claimed to have arrested trainer, explosive experts, and the financer of a militant gang — Sarwar-Tamim Group — among the five detainees.
RAB Legal and Media Wing assistant director and assistant superintendent of police (ASP) Mizanur Rahman said suspected members of Neo-JMB were held in separate areas of Dhaka. Details about the arrest will be disclosed in a press conference at RAB Media Centre in Karwan Bazar, Dhaka at about 12:00noon.
Mizanur said police also seized bomb making materials, arms, and ammunition during the drive.
