Panchagarh: Two motorcyclists were killed and three people were injured in a road crash at Jogdol Bazar in sadar upazila of Panchagarh on Thursday.

The deceased are Ashraful Islam, in his twenties, and Delwar Hossain, around 22 years old, residents of Tetulia upazila.

Ashraful and Delwar along with one of their friends were going to Tetulia from Panchagarh riding a motorcycle in the afternoon. At that time, two other people were going the same direction riding another motorcycle.

As the two motorcycles reached Jogdol Bazar, a moving tuck knocked down the two bikes simultaneously at about 2:00pm, leaving Ashraful and Delwar dead on the spot and injuring three others, said Panchagarh Sadar Police Officer-in-charge Mohseul Goni quoting witnesses.

The injured were sent to hospital, the OC added.
